Wer wirklich sehr nahe an der Großen Mauer übernachten möchte (um bspw. zum Sonnenaufgang binnen weniger Minuten hoch zu laufen), der ist in dieser Unterkunft richtig. Und für eine Herberge für Wanderer ist der Standard OK. Die simple Ausstattung und die durchschnittliche Sauberkeit werden durch andere Aspekte gut gemacht: denn besonders hervorzuheben ist der freundliche und hilfsbereite Service der Inhaber. Abends bekommt man auf Wunsch ein frisches Mahl zubereitet (gegen extra Bezahlung). Wer Wanderstöcke oder Regenschutz benötigt bekommt dieses Material gerne zur Verfügung gestellt. Und einen Abhol- / Bring-Service vom / zum Bahnhof gibt es auch (gegen extra Bezahlung). Es ist kein Hotel, sondern eine Herberge mit netten Betreibern. Alles Wichtige was man für 1, 2 Nächte rund um eine Wanderung benötigt gibt es hier zum fairen Preis.

Incredible stay! We were fortunate enough to be the only ones there during our 2 night stay and the owners were super friendly and helpful!! They even cooked us dinner on a super short notice and it was very tasty. Location couldn’t be better, great Mountain View from the room and a short distance walk from the Great Wall. At some point during the hike, we could even see the hotel in the distance. Absolutely loved it and would 100% go back!

A very simple hotel. Location is great, just near the Great Wall. There is a playground with a lot of slides and swings for the kids on the way to the Great Wall. They didn’t have breakfast at 9 o’clock because they said was already late. This was kind of disappointing, and we had to look for a place to have breakfast. Overall, it’s okay to stay for one night.

The hotel was located just next to the Panlongsan Great Wall entrance which allowed us to start our hike early from Gubeikou to Jinshanling Great Wall. We had a room with huge windows facing the mountain but you cannot really see the great wall from the room. You can get the owner of the hotel to prepare dinner and we got to try some of the vegetables she grew in her own garden.

Excellent stay . Very clean rooms and washrooms. Host were very warm and welcoming. Probably one of the best host in any stay I have been too!!!! Breakfast in the stay was amazing too!!!
